The Certified Infant Massage Teacher Course (CIMT) is coming to Austin, Texas. This 3-day professional training, taught by Master Teacher Tina Allen, will be held at Resource Connection.
In the state capital of Texas, Austin, they pride themselves on being far from ordinary. In fact, they celebrate being “weird.” Austin is a unique city providing a blend of Old West charm, southern hospitality, and modern sophistication. Feast on some of the best foods in the world, take in some sun at one of the lakes, and enjoy a never ending array of things to see and do. Austin is a hot spot for creativity and embraces its community of musicians, artists, entrepreneurs and progressive thinkers.
Austin is home to a singer named Willie, a cyclist named Lance, a Longhorn steer named Bevo, and it’s known for being the Live Music Capital of the World®, a title that the locals take pretty seriously with nearly 200 live music venues.
Austin is popular with visitors because of its many art and culture events. Austin also holds a close connection to the water because of its position on the Colorado River and the presence of three artificial lakes within city limits. But that’s not all that forms the landscape. As the gateway to the Texas Hill Country, rolling hills and sparkling waterways abound in Austin. And each night during the summer, locals gather to watch 1.5 million bats take flight from underneath the Ann Richards Congress Avenue Bridge.
South by Southwest (SXSW) is one of the largest music festivals in the United States, with more than 1,400 performers playing dozens of venues around Austin over four days, in the Spring. Originating as the Austin Battle of the Bands, SXSW officially began in 1987 and is centered on the downtown Austin Convention Center. Each of the three parts, interactive, film, and music festivals and conferences, run relatively independently, with different start and end dates
Enjoy the outdoors. While Austin is a large, cosmopolitan city, it also offers easy access to cycling, biking and hiking within short distance of the main streets. Barton Creek Greenbelt is easily accessible by foot or public transportation. It offers about eight miles of trails that are great for hiking, bird watching and even mountain biking. For those who prefer water activities, the Colorado River is a great destination for kayaking. The three local lakes (Lady Bird, Austin and Walter E. Long) are great for less ambitious pursuits like swimming.
There are so many ways to see historic Austin, why not come to Austin and discover with us!
Finally, an infant massage certification program for professionals, caregivers and those wanting to begin a new career in the wonderful world of infant massage. The Liddle Kidz Foundation Certification course is an intense, fun and effective way to master the core skills of infant massage.
Founded by master teacher and philanthropist Tina Allen, the Liddle Kidz Foundation offers a new, comprehensive, research based training course and teaches students what they really need to know to become a professional infant massage teacher.
Any experienced infant massage teacher will tell you that there is a world of difference between learning how to massage a baby from a book or DVD, and knowing how to provide the best care to meet a families needs, however, there are few opportunities to learn the skills they really need from a working healthcare professional who has provided infant massage education throughout the world.
As a CIMT, you have the special opportunity to impact an infant and their family for a lifetime.
