The Heart Touch Project™

Celebrating its 12th year of compassionate care The Heart Touch Project is a non-profit volunteer based organization which provides compassionate touch massage therapy free of charge to men, women, infants and children living with life threatening and terminal illnesses.

The organization serves people with AIDS/HIV, Cerebral Palsy, ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease), Retinoblastoma (Childhood Cancer of the Eye), Spina Bifida, Premature infants in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), the Frail Elderly and Adults and Children clinging to life in Hospice Care.

 

To fulfill its mission of service, Heart Touch trains massage therapists, nurses, physicians and others who are certified to touch, the gentle art of delivering compassionate and healing therapeutic touch to those who are nearing the end of their life and to those who are need of improving their health. We strive to improve the physical, emotional, and psychological well being of ill and isolated individuals through the healing touch of massage therapy.

Tina Allen began her service to The Heart Touch Project as a volunteer massage therapist and was a member of the Board of Directors. Most recently, as Director of the Children’s Program for The Heart Touch Project, she provided specialized education and inspiration for massage therapists, medical personnel and parents committed to addressing the needs of medically challenged infants and children who are hospitalized or in hospice care.
