 The Certified Infant Massage Teacher Course (CIMT™) is coming to Santa Fe, New Mexico.
This Accredited 3-day professional training, taught by Master Teacher Tina Allen, will be held at the Scherer Institute of Natural Healing.
Located in the Rocky Mountains, Santa Fe is the capital of New Mexico and is one of the great destination cities of the world. The Scherer Institute of Natural Healing is an oasis in the beautiful high desert of Northern New Mexico. Dr. Jay Scherer established the Institute in 1979, one of the very first independent massage therapy schools in the country. Dr. Jay was well loved and respected as a naturopath and massage therapist in Santa Fe for over 40 years. His compassion for those in pain or need was boundless, and he never turned anyone away. He deeply believed in the power of the body and spirit to direct the healing process. His legacy lives on in every graduate who shares the gift of healing touch with others.
Known as the Land of Enchantment, people are often drawn to New Mexico with its sunny blue skies and inspiring vistas of grand mountain ranges. The high-desert offers the delights of sunshine (about 300 days per year) and low humidity without the high heat of the lower elevations. From river rafting to skiing, the magical Sangre de Cristo mountains and expansive desert offer a haven for the body, mind, and soul.
 While in Santa Fe be sure not to miss some of the great sites including The Plaza – The Heart of Santa Fe. As the heart of the city and the place where Santa Fe was founded, the Plaza is the city's most historic area. Surrounded by museums, historic buildings, restaurants, hotels, galleries, and endless shopping the Plaza is the place to start understanding Santa Fe.
In a town with 16 museums, Museum Hill is a collection of 4 of its most interesting: Museum of International Folk Art, Museum of Indian Arts & Culture, Museum of Spanish Colonial Art, and the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian. With a wonderful plaza, expansive views, footpaths connecting each museum, and a convenient  cafe, Museum Hill is a day trip right in town.
In addition to all of the wonderful adobe style architecture, Santa Fe’s largest example of non-adobe style architecture in the city, the Romanesque St. Francis dominates the downtown cityscape. The cathedral is a religious center for Santa Fe and the home to La Conquistadora, a centuries-old statue revered within the city.
