The Certified Infant Massage Teacher Course (CIMT™) is coming to Toronto, Ontario. This 3-day professional training, taught by Master Teacher Tina Allen, will be held at Little Owl Preschool and Educational Centre.

The Little Owl Preschool and Educational Centre is dedicated to children and families. Their belief is that their first responsibility is to the children and parents who have chosen and registered in their programs. The teachers and administrators demonstrate leadership in the delivery and development of child education programs. Little Owl goes above and beyond the current Ontario Ministry of Education Curriculum in order to expose children to a world of culture and enrichment. Their programs include dance and music in addition to hands-on experiential learning. The teachers at Little Owl take great pride in incorporating physical activity and yoga into their daily programs.

While in Toronto, you’ll want to see the CN Tower. The CN Tower is Toronto’s number one tourist attraction. It is currently the tallest free-standing structure in the world, and attracts millions of visitors a year. You can even eat lunch up at the 360 restaurant at the top of the tower, and get at the same time a grand view of the whole city. This might be the first thing you’ll want to do, and then go on from there.

Get a feel for all of the communities in the golden horseshoe. Streets in the downtown area are communities of cultures that have immigrated to Canada. There’s a ‘Little Italy’, a ‘Greek Street’ and a ‘Jewish District’ for example that you should definitely check out. See the community, visit the cultural stores, restaurants, and be immersed in the culture.

With its colorful corner fruit stands, many thrift stores and pubs, Kensington Market is a meeting place for some of Toronto’s most interesting people. Each month the neighborhood blocks off the narrow streets for a Sunday afternoon festival celebrating the diversity of the area with drums, dances and music.

Located on Toronto’s Centre Island, Centreville Amusement Park is reminiscent of simpler times and features pony rides, antique ferris wheel and carousel. The ferry ride to get to the island is an adventure in itself. This park is ideal for children younger than 12 as it has many rides that entertain but don’t scare.

Not everyone is a hockey fan (a fact that Canadians find hard to believe), but the Hockey Hall of Fame is an outstanding facility, full of interactive exhibits that put kids or adults in the heat of NHL action. The Broadcast Pods let you call the action of some of the most famous hockey games, including the 1972 Canada / Russia series: "Henderson shoots, he scores." Also featured is a replica NHL dressing room (excluding the smell), a trophy room, and of course a gift shop.
 

Finally, an infant massage certification program for professionals, caregivers and those wanting to begin a new career in the wonderful world of infant massage. The Liddle Kidz™ Foundation Certification course is an intense, fun and effective way to master the core skills of infant massage.

Founded by master teacher and philanthropist Tina Allen, the Liddle Kidz™ Foundation offers a new, comprehensive, research based training course and teaches students what they really need to know to become a professional infant massage teacher.

Any experienced infant massage teacher will tell you that there is a world of difference between learning how to massage a baby from a book or DVD, and knowing how to provide the best care to meet a families needs, however, there are few opportunities to learn the skills they really need from a working healthcare professional who has provided infant massage education throughout the world.
